AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) plays as striker. She also captains San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the top division of women's soccer in United States. From 2018 to 2020, she was co-captained by the US women's national team alongside Megan Rapinoe. [8][9] Morgan was chosen as number one in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she graduated early from University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. She made her debut at the club , and also helped the team win their league championship. Morgan was just 22 at the time, was the youngest player on the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team was runner-up. Morgan scored the game-winning goal in the semi-final match against Canada in the semi-final game at the 2012 London Olympics. She was second in the United States with 20 goals and 21 assists for 2012, making her the most youthful and sixth-highest prolific player to score 20 goals in one year. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also named a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan helped the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. Morgan was named to the Dream Team in both tournaments. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
